    Day 1   Arrive Beijing
Your tour of one of the most fascinating countries in the world begins in the capital of the People’s Republic of China. An English-speaking guide will meet your flight, drive you to your hotel and help you check in.

    Day 2   Beijing B,L,D
Your adventure begins in Tiananmen Square, the heart of Beijing and the largest public space on earth. Step back in time as you pass through the Gate of Heavenly Peace and enter the Forbidden City, home to the Imperial Courts of the Ming and Qing Dynasties for more than 500 years. The Forbidden City is an enormous complex of perfectly preserved palaces, temples, magnificent squares and formal gardens. You’ll stroll along cobblestone paths once known only to the Emperor’s most intimate advisors, visit the private apartments of Imperial concubines and see stunning collections of priceless art, furnishings, and jewelry. After lunch you’ll visit the Summer Palace, a fairyland of pagodas, pavilions and stone bridges on the outskirts of the city. Tonight you’ll sample the delicious local cuisine at a neighborhood restaurant.

Leave the bustle and traffic of Beijing behind and journey through the countryside to see one of the Wonders of the World – The Great Wall. There will be plenty of time to walk along a portion of this 3700-mile long marvel or to simply sit and contemplate the wonders of China’s past. After lunch you’ll visit the massive tomb complex of the Ming Emperors where you’ll walk along the “Sacred Way” passing between pairs of huge stone sculptures. Enjoy dinner tonight at a Beijing restaurant.
    Day 4   Beijing / Xi’an B,L,SD
This morning you’ll visit the Temple of Heaven, one of China’s most photographed attractions. This ornate wooden structure was where the “Sons of Heaven”, as the Chinese Emperors were known, worshipped the gods and prayed for good harvests. It is the largest temple complex in China and the lovely park surrounding the ancient tower is a popular spot for morning Tai Chi. After lunch you’ll forget about the skyscrapers and construction cranes of modern Beijing as you venture into Hutong, where the atmosphere of Old Peking lives on. You’ll bicycle or ride rickshaws down narrow lanes and alleyways, past vegetable markets, traditional medicine shops and tiny, wooden teahouses. This evening you’ll enjoy the capital’s most famous dining experience - a Peking Duck Dinner Party – then attend a special cultural performance. You will take an over night train to Xi’an.
    Day 5   Xi’an B,L,D
Arrive Xian, the great ancient capital and the eastern end of the Silk Road. Upon arrival, meet your tour guide at the airport and be transferred to your 5-star hotel. After a short rest, tour of the Drum Tower and Shaanxi Provincial Museum.

    Day 6   Xi’an B,L,D
This exciting day of sightseeing will include the famous Terra-cotta Army and Bronze Chariots. More than 6,000 pieces of 2,200-year-old life-size figures – individually sculpted from real-life models – represent soldiers, horses, and ministers who guard Emperor Qin Shi Huang’s tomb. Later visit a village at Lintong where former President Clinton enjoyed his visit. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda built in 652 AD. It contains a large volume of Buddhist scriptures obtained from India by the eminent monk Xuanzang. This evening, be our guests for a special 12-course Dumpling Dinner
    Day 7   Xi’an – Hangzhou (by air) B,L,D
After breakfast you will fly (MU 2265 08:05 – 09:55) to Hangzhou. Upon arrival you will take a boat trip on the beautiful West Lake, a favorite subject for Chinese artists for centuries and tour to the Six Harmonies Pagoda.

    Day 8   Hangzhou- Huaxi Village (by bus) B,L,D
Today’s tour begins to visit Linying Temple, home of the “Laughing Buddha,” and Flying Peak. Sample a cup of Dragon Well green tea at a Tea Orchard. After lunch you will take a bus to Huaxi Village, the No 1 village under the Heaven. Every family lives in the villa and owns at least one car. You will have dinner in the farmers’ house and spend one night in the five star presidential villa.
    Day 9   Huaxi Village – Suzhou (by bus) B,L,D
After breakfast you will tour to Huaxi Village such as family visit, farmland visit, school and hospital. You will have lunch in the restaurant in Huaxi Village and take a bus to Suzhou. Often referred to as the “Venice of the East,” Suzhou is famous for its gardens and canals.

    Day 10   Suzhou B,L,D
Tour Tiger Hill and the Master’s Net Garden in the morning. After lunch you visit another famous garden the Humble Administrator’s Garden and then visit a silk factory, where you will see silk fibers being separated from cocoons and wound onto spools.
    Day 11   Suzhou –Shanghai (by bus) B,L,D
After breakfast you will have bus trip to Shanghai. You will visit Yu Yuan Garden and the old town of the city.

    Day 12   Shanghai B,L,D
Your tour will recall Shanghai’s past as you visit the Bund and see the remains of the banks and other colonial institutions of the 19th century. Then tour the fascinating Shanghai National History Museum to see artifacts from every period of China’s past. The remainder of the day is at leisure to shop, discover more of the city on your own or revisit your favorite sites. Later this evening, bid farewell to your fellow travelers at a gala dinner and enjoy a thrilling Acrobatic Show.
    Day 13   Shanghai – USA
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home or to your next destination
